alright i gotcha. thanks for explaining.

the only reason i couldnt play those games was due to end-of-semester schoolwork. i would be more free now, but i guess that doesnt matter

(nor does the fact that after fly, i had won the most pre-tournament games) lol, i was still hoping to play

and thanks. i couldn't be too afraid to sign up. that woud be just...idk. but i enjoyed what ive played. id love to join any other tournaments that are hosted, and hopefully play more games.

Yes. :(

But we can always have another tournament I'm sure. Especially when the 1.5 patch is done. :D

Spork, you don't get to decide who's in and who's out. You are not participating in this tournament in any way; you are not in the organization, you are not playing.

Quote:
Yeah, I know, it sounds kinda silly with knowing how old tournaments looked like... Kahless, a newbie stratter, keeps bragging how he was second on one of those, which clearly shows what kind of players participated there.

I plan something different... a real tournament, with the best active BZ stratters. There are 7 active pros in BZ ATM, so there should be at least 4 of them on the tourney, to be valid.

As you can see, the whole idea of this tournament was to gather the best todays stratters. The more of them comes, the tourney gets better. Dredd wasn't on the list because I barely played him (he only left few games I was in) and he was inactive for a long time. Most other pro stratters from my list have Dredd on theirs, so we can say he is a special case.

Besides, pre-tourney was accepting application after it officially stated, so why not follow the same rule now. I say pro stratters can still apply until first played game in this 2nd part of the tourney (in case JonBlund makes a big comeback too).

Dredd, welcome abroad, but you better hurry with your games cause you are 3 days behind and you don't know how the rest of us "breath". :)

Edit:
My goal isn't to play on this tournament and win, my goal is to play the best on this tournament and win. :P
If any participant doesn't agree with my decisions, feel free to question it.

As you know, I made a special group for this tournament, called "stratters". You should use PM-to-the-group feature when trying to find a tourney game.

How to use it?
Enter your Control Panel. Click on "Compose message", select group "stratters" and click on "Add (To)". Now enter PM subject and the text like you would normally do. When you click on "Send" you will send it to all stratters in that group (HAL 9000, Mr. Spock, valak, FURION, FLY, Jazz, HyperFighter).

What to send?
Info like: "I will be online Thursday evening from 5-7pm GMT+1. Anybody up for a game?" :P

Please, use GMT cause that's the only thing everybody understands. Europe doesn't have US Eastern time but America does have GMT-6. :)

Unfortunately some personal stuff has popped up that need my attention. I will handle this as fast as I can but I won't be able to play for a few days (up to 5 days). I will however be online as much as possible as soon as I can, to make up for my absence - sorry! :(

Game with Jazz on his map choice(Compass). I died after an almost 2 hour battle, with me struggling with a sniper rifle after my base is destroyed. GG

I went back to my quarters, and then had a "tiny" temper tantrum.

In a fear of disqualification I started playing tourney games too.

Corner Pocket with T-34, my choice of map. The game lasted 42 mins and I recorded the whole thing, but due 10mins limitations I had to cut it off... I wasn't in the mood for a lot of editing, so I decided to show the most important part, the things that happened between 0.25 and 0.35. It's been a while since my last serious strat so I kept giving wrong orders. At one point I even recycled my 3 Howies for no reason whatsoever. All in all, it was a GG, thanks. :P

I lost the rematch against HyperFighter. We were down to our last lives... I had the game pretty much under control and should have entered a walker, but I chased his pilot in tank and got sniped. GG SniperKing :)
