1) Being Thumpered.
2) Getting a minigun/chaingun dropped from an armory into it.
3) Using scavengers as bait.
4) Hiding behind a wall, making the golem focus on you, allowing your AI buddies clear and safe shots.

I don't see why it matters who organizes a tournament. If you want a tournament, go for it.
