New stratter on the list - 911 scrapmkr. He was away since early 2007, and now he's back. I played him few times during those days (2006-2007), when he was at his peak and when I was still a newbie. At that point he seemed decent to me, something like Micha, but what did I know back then. For the record, I started my career with a loss against Micha, while Scrappy never came close to a victory.

He plays like this: he makes a lot of guntowers around his recy, then he starts entering his vehicles and ejecting, making scrap, trying to snipe something while in the air. You can choose; howie him or wait till his scavs run him over enough times. Once I saw him in a rocket tank, cometing my base, giving scrap to me, while I was closing him down. When I came too close he had to go (something like Jens). To each his own.

911 Shogun is back from his retirement!

There are only 3 players with who I have negative score so far; HAL, Jon and Shogun. Sho was the only 911'er that could play (some say TheWall was too, but I still wait to see that). He won our first 5 duels, then I won 2, before he quit the game in 2007. Yesterday we (almost) had our 8th duel.

Wonder who I played among the recent pro's that made a reasonable impression? I ask because everyone seems to have multiple aliases. Anyway, yes i am still learning new tactics and trying to develop some new ones of my own (im sure others have tried what i will surely call "new".)

The only pro's that i know I have played and had any success against are Valak and T-34, but most of the time I am behind the 8-ball by the time I get my recycler to a friggin geyser.

I'M NOT EVEN ON THIS LIST and i am i know i am a good stratter. (hey DM skills mean nothing in start)

Lone, I kick your butt in DM and I am admittedly a crappy DMer. I dont see the point in it other than brushing up on sniping skills for when it counts and i rarely snipe in a strat unless I am going all in for the kill or for the loss. DM games are mind numbing, but I still play them and get worked on the regular.

Try saying that when you're fight a DM oriented Stratter. Dog-fighting is a part of Battlezone. If DM meant nothing... then Battlezone would be a Starcraft clone... After all, Battlezone is a First Person Shooter and Real Time Strategy hybrid that blends the two together like a work of art.

No offense, but most "DM oriented" stratters are not all that great as stratters. Most pure stratters are far harder to beat then those that are DM first oriented. The thing is that some of the best stratters ae also some of the better DMers. i think this is mostly because they understand the game better than most. That being said, i suck at DM outside of sniping.
Im still trying to figure out how to change my scope without uninstalling and re-installing. I hate the new scope. I used to be far better and this has nothing to do with my eyes getting old. LOL.
Did they get rid of going to scope mode while in flight? For some reason, i cant seem to do this anymore.
Like i said, I am still learning new ways/new tactics and appreciate a good ass whipping as long as I learn from it.
I will never ever ever claim victory. It will either happen or I will lose with dignity. Humility is one virtue I live by.

i mean i general having great Dm skills doesnt mean your a good strater. 1 human cant take on 10 AIs in aggressive mode and win.
and if you can do this let me know(teach me your Dm ways)

For default scope, go here. Put it in addon.

Getting scope in the air requires walking off an edge and switching to snipe at the last moment, or something to that effect.

We haven't played yet...


I couldn't agree more. DMers can't strat, but Stratters can DM.


Are you talking about jump snipe Spork? I belive DEATHLOK was referring to something else, to not being able to pull out sniper scope while in the air. Anyhow, it was always like that.

If you hit a wall or surface while flying, and you have snipe mode selected, the scope comes up. Personally, though, I think it's easier to no-scope while in the air.

i am happy when i have 2 deaths to 1 kill. most of the time its like 50 deaths:20 kills
i am probably the worst dm er in bz. i just play for its mind numbing entertainment. allot of the time i am just to tired for strat

but i am a decent strater when i actually play. next tourney i out too be up there on the rankings(joined the forum too late for the last one)

ROFL... I thought this was a stratter list. Anyone got an updated list of stratters? I got my BZ working, so I would like to know who is still alive and kicking.
