I am just curious on some players opinions as weather or not you should kill the pilot once he or she has been ejected out of their ship? I was playing a game with stratking, and he was on his last life. He spawned me using pop gun, and then went right towards the area where my recycler was was based at. I hopped back and jumped in a ship. By the time I got there he had just blown my recycler up and I destroyed his ship process. So I chased him down and kill him. He called it cheap play going for pilot. Well he had just kiled me as pilot with pop gun, and I fondly remember him running me over 3 times at my spawn point in blast chamber.

the way i see it demo, i think it's circumstantial per game. in most games, taking a pilot out is only acceptable if the pilot is: sniped, attempting to snipe, or if an apc lets a barrage of pilots out. but, if the person is pop gunning pilots, and then ends up in a place where he has no ships to jump into and is out of sniper rounds, he is pretty much FUBAR anyway, just put him out of his misery.

LOL same old Stratking. He does not like you doing him the same way he did you. He is a very sore loser and will play dirty to win a strat game.Hey Demo have you ever heard him say gg. He has too much pride. Don't let it bother you. Bye

They way I see it, it's circumstantial per opponent's behavior in the game/past games.

In general, if you have your forces on one side, your opponent on other, if nothing special happened in the game and at one point you eject him in a simple dog fight (his units vs your units), and see him trying to fall behind his units... then you probably shouldn't attempt to take his life, by going over his defense/offense without carrying about anything else. In most cases that wouldn't be good strategic decision anyway, cause you can do so much on the field while he's in the air, finding new tank, waiting for a new pair of SP's...

But, if you eject someone who was alone, attempting to sabotage, you should take his life without too much thinking. This especially relates to recycler hunters, those who buy time (prepare something while disrupting you), splinter, stock mine, snipe etc.

Also, if someone took your recycler with his solo tank, you can do to him absolutely anything after that. Even spawn him 4 times in a row.

With guys like Jens is completely different story than with other players. He is the dirtiest player out there. He'll make allies out of other players, sometimes public, sometimes secret. He in most cases whispers to 1 guy that other guy is a hacker. He'll splinter your base, rejoin numerous times, rec dive, spawn you whenever he gets a chance. He'll rush you when you join his 10 mins head start game. He alt tabs when you are shooting his rec and he also tweaks Bz by using extremely high FPS.

And the most important for this topic, Jens will use all his lives to destroy your rec. He acts like he's playing Bz2 and that recycler is the end of the game. If he makes it he will say "all 2 ez" and without saying GG, he'll start a new one (if he doesn't have big base), pretending like he won. So, when you eject him, of course you will take his life, whether his rec hunt was successful or not.

Don't worry about him saying "cheap play". It's not cheap play. He's just frustrated that he lost. He says I'm cheap for killing his scavs. Once he even said that howies are cheap. :)

Note the highlighted text.
Those all sound like me. I tend to do the disruption bit, I found it really pisses off those who are pros (yes, I was dumb enough to go on a pro server, got utterly annihilated, but had fun), and as for scav killing, that is the best tactic in the game, I mean come on, you knock down their resources, is legit!

And howies? Has Jen every heard of DODGIN? Hahahahahaha

But I personally am ok with pilot hunting. If you win the dog fight, and there are pilots around, I think you should kill them, because it will cost the enemy resources to replace them, and that gives you the advantage. And if I get killed, I don't bmw (if you don't know what bmw means in this context, PM me, I will explain), I simply see it as a mistake on my part. So I suck it up, get back in a tank, and blow up a few more of his craft to make up for it. And if you get the player in the process, kudos for you  Now you guys probably think I am a total @ss, but still, I play to win, but I still play clean, no alt-tab, no recyc hunting (where is the fun in that?).

So yeah, any opinions appreciated.

Jens won't show you any honor toward your pilot, I won't do the same for him.
