wouldnt strat games be more action if we had unlimited scrap just imagine it it will be asome lots of action lots of attacks it will be cool and to make it less nooby disable the armory certain weapons making we dont want a barrage of daywreakers or all tanks armed with sp and no comet O_O but altleat we will have ulimited scrap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ulimited scrap NOW I CAN MAKE ALL THE GOLEMS I WANT!!!!!!

I've seen maps done like this in Starcraft and other RTSs, it does allow you to cut to the chase. Problem is, those starting few minutes trying to secure resources make up more of the game and the challenge of it than most realize. I've seen too many awesome strategy games, BZ and otherwise determined and ended in the first few minutes to say otherwise.

Amount of scrap needed is decreasing with your strat experience raising. There are few reasons why are stock maps played more than custom maps, and one of the main reasons is scrap amount. Stock maps with the most scrap are Paranoia & Blast Chamber (560). On the other hand, Bimetal Run v1.5 has 760 and Pac Man 868! I would pick Blast Chamber over Pac Man every time, but I understand that new players would pick the map with more scrap, because they like to build big bases and wait for the enemy's howitzers to wipe them out.  I admit, I played lot of Pac Man's, because Jens the noob plays only that map, but I stopped entering those games right after him, because then there's too much scrap available and I see no challenge in that. I like to give him (and others on that map) 5-10 mins head start. Like that, when I enter, the map becomes stock for me, cause Jens collects the most of scrap, and then I'm finally able to enjoy myself. The beauty of strat isn't in constant building and non-stop 10 vs 10 units clashes, it is in thinking what to do with a little scrap you have. Should you, with 4 scrap on your account, build Scavanger, Minelayer or save it for later...? That's what strat is about, thinking hard to find a way to outsmart your opponent(s).

I thought Canyons had the most scrap of all stock. Atleast that's what the heat players thought. It was a rare to see a strat not be in Canyons. Main reason why I thought that map survived to BZII was because it was very popular.

Uh yeah, you are right, Paranoia and Canyon Madness have 560 scrap (not Para and Blast). And yes, Canyons is still the most popular map for 4 players. You have all stock scrap values written here.

hehe thax yall for ur explaination i can handle scrap well now if i am in a map with low srap i will be able to play i was justing thinking that if we make a special strat map with unlimited scrap, just one map lets see how that workjs out that might speed things up a bit hehehehe if u know what i mean yesterday i collected so much scrap that 3 players could not break threw my golem base i was full of turrets even howzonters could not postion them selves to atack mee and i had 10 golems and yeah some one did a 10 bomber charge at my reclyer my golems destroyed them all before they could enter my base o_O just tell ya that i dont have scrap promblems  :D:D:D::D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I find it very hard to play without limitless scrap (because I have been playing BZ64 with limitless scrap for 9-10 years now, I don't think I will ever get over my "addiction" as it is to limitless scrap).
i find that if I have limitless scrap I can think more clearly about the battle at hand and about how to get through the other defenses rather than my scrap count.
And plus, what happens if you run out of both pilots and scrap (like 0 pilots and 0-3 scrap)? A very boring strat match, especially if you are up against someone who has a huge base with 10 turrets, gun towers, ect.
You would never get through with what little you have, and it would just be a race of time to see how long your base can survive if that happens.
With limitless scrap, you would have to worry about your defenses so much more, rather than your scrap count, especially if you are under attack from a relentless onslaught, like in the Black Dog(?) mission where you have a relentless attack going on your base and you have to protect it if possible (I don't know if anyone knows of this mission since the Black Dogs mostly existed in BZ64).
I also thought multiplayer was about the rush, the thrill of the heat of battle as well, not just the tatics and strategy (which I would be VERY good at if I had limitless scrap).
I think that a map should be made, with such a redicious scrap amount it would be almost impossible to run out in a short while, like with the other maps. The scrap count of such a map should be: 1500 scrap units or more

Allegedly, max scrap on a map is 924. If you try to put more, scrap from somwhere else is deleted automatically, so it can never go above 924. Enjoy in map "Foothills" and 888 scrap.

Hey, after a few yeaars I soon started to mess around and used limitless scrap, but for the most part, it wasn't so challenging, and in the case of a multiplayer strat, it would be less realistic. I have doing that for about 4 years, and in the end you will have to adapt to limited scrap, its just the way things are. AND GOLEM, what i mean by Imperial Forces, is that where do you think i get my men for strats from? The Nursery??? I need an army for that, like Cerberus has his Cerberus Brigade, and Spock.... well I dunno.  So for now... nothing.

Hmm, thats true. I did not think of it like that. But really, what is so realistic about a game set in an alternate timeline, with spaceships like the Furies and other such things? Also, *if* there is such a limit like that on the max available scrap, how come no strat maps were made with the absolute max scrap set as the value available? (I mean why is the highest one only 888, when apparently you could go to 924) I just thought it would be a nice idea, and i would/still support it.

my guess is if under the situation that a ship is destroyed, that it would add more scrap, and thus go over the 924 limit, and some scrap elsewhere would be deleted. I guess the 888 scrap is a failsafe just in case of a theoretical overflow of scrap in an area. Also and XANA, whos to say that wasn't a real military coverup like that?!  And that would thus make such a thing like Furies, real

I would have to wonder the reason why they don't go to the max is to try and avoid crashing. I think it's been proven that not all the code functions like it should online all the time (oh hi there MDM and Flash Cannon.). They could just be avoiding a UE (hmm...wonder if Reaper ever thought of that...)

How can I ever lose a strat if I have infinite ability to rebuild?  MDM is bugged by accident. So is Flash Cannon. Didn't the beam code get supposedly fixed in BzE or something? I heard a rumor he fixed MDM? Somebody confirm 100% without a doubt? It's hard because nobody plays BzE.
