As "promised", heres my little story/slideshow. Me vs Spock, and some other guy watching in a lander.

Game 1;

Game 2;

^ This is the only screenie i have from that game. Had a few golems taking out a few of armst... I mean Spocks tanks.

Nav, I would really like to say that you did good, but you didn't. I can't lie, this is not BZC. You had guts to play me, I give you that, but that's all. I've seen some new players, with only few months experience (DarkVim, R.I.P.), showing much more than you... You have been playing this game for almost 10 years and you still enter strat in a silly Razor. Strat is not DM son, in strat tank with dual SP's is a must. When I saw you in that silly scout I wasn't even firing myself, I let my APC's to do the job.
In second game I had to use thump on thoseGolems, sorry, but there were just too many of them...
I think that in 2nd month of playing new stratters usually learn that you can't win if you camp. Base sitter and winner are opposite terms. In Bz attacker wins. Another advice: next time try with less guntowers around your rec, by building them you just waste time and scrap... they are supposed to make me stop from coming into the howies range. If you build towers around rec I will destroy them, along with rec, from far distance...

Maybe that "important" admin job and banning cost you losing your head, or maybe you just spend too much time in YG air bombers... Your other name is Battlezoner, and Battlezone is strategy game. Maybe you should be only Navbeacon from now on.... You are Battlezoner as much as Jens is Stratking.
I already once showed you how Compass is supposed to be played, I can do it again for some other maps if you like. Ice Ice we were playing is already described by your countryman. Do some reading first and then we'll do some more practicing...

Hello the is the first time i post a warstory i mainly posted this becuse of the fun end. Nav and i played a quick strat yesterday on some venus map i cant remember the name on something with xe... i think. Evrything started calm i collected scrap and built some silos, guntowers and tanks for about 15 min then i moved out with my cons to build a silo and thats were nav attacked with his tank i quicly killed him with dual sp's and then *BOOM* *sniped* then he sniped my bomber i had with me too i respawned and built a new tank and then the battle continiued here and there killing eachohters scavs and so on.... .... then in the end i attacked his base with my dual-sp tank got shoot down but jumped into his base and sniped him then i tried to snipe his razor that was chasing me nav started jumping around trying to avoid me i started shooting at him with my rifle also he had 2 turrets at the entrance to his base he jumped towards it (we both had 1 life) and he had 1 hp left and then *SPLAT* he jumped into his turret it looked funny he thought his pilot had jumped out but he was too busy shooting at me shame i diden't take any screenshots or recorded anything but i must say it looked funny like hell.

But I bet Lil Nav didn't laugh so much

Being killed by own unit is never a pleasant feeling, especially when it's last life.

I remember being run off by my own scav too many times...

Actually it I thougth it was a pretty nice game myself.

Yeah it was a nice game but i just realised that that snipe was a chat kill i was asking if you detonated the mines at my base but i forgot that they expire

and spock you are not alone being driven over by your scavs they have one hell of a dumbass ai

Hehe yeah, I noticed you were chatting so while I waited for you to move around again I took that pic. I sniped you after you looked around a bit.

You won though, nice.

My story is the same but I think we are talking about 30 games (out of 30 possible). I'm sure that number would keep raising but old BUM discovered firewall and decided to end his misery by putting me in there, he said I'm too good for him.

I already described few (boring) 1on1 games with him, so this time I present 2 games with other player(s) in it (besides BUM and me):

Game #1:

30 minutes old Pac-man with Jens and BUM... as soon as I joined they allied and give each other my coordinates...

It was a matter of time when they will come with an army each and send me back to the lobby, but it's all good, as long as it lasts more than 5 mins. Soon I saw a lot of red on my radar coming towards me, I thought the end is near, but then my savour came, 4th player, HAL.

Jens and BUM must have agreed that one will go on me and other on HAL... big mistake, HAL destroyed BUM's army and killed him. I did the same to Jens.

I don't remember when I last time played team strat with HAL in my team... I think it was more than year ago when Valak and Jon Blund kicked our asses on Canyon Madness... BTW, it was all my fault that we lost...
Back to BUM story... although it was not officially team strat, but with Jens and BUM on the other side allied, we had to ally too...

At one point HAL lost all his production units but constructor... after that BUM and Jens started dueling me. There was no time to chat with HAL and explain him the situation. Fortunately, he wasn't wasting his time on his spawn and he came to mine with only few units and constructor... then the best part of the game started... BUM and Jens were hitting us with all they had... HAL was in stock grizzly, I was in stock scout. He was thumping, I was shooting... we took almost all scrap they had and killed them few times... great 20mins.

Soon, Jens and BUM realized that they will not gonna win this one, so they started whining... they played the game until it was going their way, but when things changed, when few recycler attacks failed, when lot of scrap was lost, whining started, and soon they left.

Finally, I played my first strat game with TheWall. He was mentioned on a few places as one of the best, so without "trying" him I felt like something is missing in my strat career.

It was a cool game on a Corner Pocket, with only "hehe's" and "G1's", no whining and complaining. With sore losers like BUM and Jens, it was a true relief to play with someone like TheWall.

Unfortunately, I was on laptop (with no capturing software) so I wasn't able to make screenies (one that I made with Print Screen button turned out black ).

He was sniping a lot and like Jon said, you can't sit still when TheWall is on the other side.



Anyway our game was fun, it ended with a mutual snipe and it reminded me why I like Battlezone so much.

Edit: I played with another big name, it was our 6th duel and my first win so I had to come here and brag a little. He humiliated me in our first 5 matches and finally, it was my turn.
Map was Compass. He lost a lot of scrap near me in the beginning, when he tried to get it back he lost some more. That was too much, even for him.

Hi guys, looong time. I'm about to get rid of my good old PC and the internet. Gonna give it a try to see if it's possible to live without While checking the HD I found this site was stil stored in favorites. Spend about 2 hours now reading a lot of posts here.
I liked the recordings of the games, especially Bum being sniped. He still quits lol.

In fact I also found a minute or so on video while playing Fired-up, and also my son playing snipe, recordet back in 2000.
I'm downloading the Bz1M torrent. Just to have/store it together with all the other Bz stuff.
I guess I will check back here from time to time, either from a library or family/friends PCs. Thanks for the good times spend with all of you Bzoners, it's been amazing.

I agree that too much of anything can't be good, but nothing or too little can't be good either. Finding healthy balance is never easy, I hope you will make it someday...
We all (except reaper) will be here when you decide to come back. I just hope we will not have to wait too long...
Anyhow, thanks for all the games and talks, thanks for being a friend.

Yea, recording is great... I have all those you tube videos (and some more) on DVD's in much better quality. It's real enjoyment watching those games on a big screen. One day I will show them to my kids, so they could see where their pa spent 1/3 of his life.

I met few players in the lobby who said to me that they decided to try BZ after seeing my youtube movies. That's a great compliment to me and that's great for BZ in general, because the main purpose of those videos is promotion of BZ.

Unfortunately, that program was a sharware and I can't record anymore (I can with big "demo" sign)... I will have to "fix" that soon...

In meantime I can only post screenies. I played 3 GG's with Hi Pal few days ago. Check attachment, I compiled all of them in Windows Media file. Hard to make screen shots while playing a tough game, but I think I made few good ones.

I hardly remember the name reaper. You mean that guy refusing enhancing his character and messing with other peoples game he knew all about but couldnt play himself?

I'll hang around til end of mai. Need to find a round ball for the mouse so I keep the Grizz on the map. After 3 games you should die quite easy. The først 2 you'll loose as well. After that Hal may want to try his luck. You guys practice some before thursday evening I hope.

Ouch..... I got smoked 3 times by the Croats tonight. Spock got me 2 times, Hal 1.
I may be rusty but your game would take me a lot of time and effort to adapt to. Battlezone strat seems to have evolved once again. Amazing gameplay guys..........

Jon was the only player I played against and never won. He got me 10 times in the past. I think he came back just to let me win 1.

We played 2 Corners, first 1 ended pretty quick, but 2nd game was a great one. Jon showed rustiness only in scrap collecting and DM, his strat skills are still great. We moved our bases a lot, switch sides... we did all... I even got sniped by the AI.

We are supposed to play on Sunday again... I'll try to record a real video this time, before strat legend retires...
