Very intence and i give you high marks on fair play. So much to do to keep the game in action. I never could snipe like some of the other people. Was never able to figure out how to skip snipe. Wasnt my thing i guess.

2 sync off strats, which lasted pretty long so here are 5mins higlights. I messed up BZ sound while recording so I added some music later.

I remember my first BZ1 online Strat game. It was many years after I got BZ1, as I didn't have internet on my win 98, and by the time I got xp, I then got dial up and etc, but BZ crashed on XP and I did't understand why. It wasn't untill years later when Avatar mentioned the BZ1.4L installer working on XP that I found BZ online again.

I played my first online strat with ~YG~ Killer ][nstinct. It was on that big moon map that was a strat version of NSDF Mission "Total Annialation"

I built up some base defences and a nice base, then went to attack him with a fleet of 10 thunderbolts. This was met in the middle with a few sniper rounds followed by KI's tanks. The stupid AI bombers responded and were sloughtered.

My next attempt was a fleet of 10 walkers. This was met again in the middle, but from behind with tanks and Thumper.

Soon after that, he pressed onto my defences and used howitzers on my base. I was out of scrap and after I couldn't do anything else, I hid up on the top of the cliff behind my base as a pilot, and watched. I avoided him when he came looking for me by jumping down the cliff and then climbing back up. Eventually we called it a tie and I jumped down from cliff, we met on foot as pilots and I bowed to him and said "good game, I suck hehe"

Even though I lost, I didn't exactly expect to do good, it was my first strat game against a human

Here's something a little more recent:

I played a test game of Katz_Lil's new strat map with him and lil stealth. And after lil stealth left, I decided to have a little fun. I was nsdf, he was cca, i dunno what stealth was. I was in a grizzly, grabbed duel SP and red field from armory. Then I climbed up ontop of the hills and used redfield to sneak around on his base.

He hadn't built much, and When I saw his CCA Recy unguarded, I took a scuicide bombing run at it, and just dived down and pummeled it to scrap. I died right afterwords.

I saw his factory, and him and a few ships left to go attack my base. There was a CCA tank he had told to protect his factory. So, I sniped it, then started blowing up his factory. He built another tank and I killed it, then blew up his factory. I then saw his armory undeploy and start moving, I wasted the last of my ammo getting it at half health.

I ordered some ammo from my armory but it'd take a while to get there.

He attacked my base, and killed my rec and fact, but finally one of my gun towers got his pilot. He respawned at base, and then went into sniper mode.

Since the ammo I ordered from my hadn't gotten there, I decided the best corse of action was the traditional roadkill method. Since the test was over, I decided to end the game by running him over untill the bottom of his CCA tank was red too

you are not bad at telling stories, not bad at all, thanks for sharing them with us. would be great if you could spice up your next story with a few screenies...

i hope you don't mind me commenting your gameplay, after all, this thread is about that, sharing our stories, giving advices to each other, improving our gameplay...

your first story, with KI, you made few mistakes... you used 10 of something, few times. in bz, every unit is good for something, and every unit has its weaknesses so you should always have few different unit types with you.
aslo, you should be very careful when you are attacking. scrap made in the battle shouldn't be collected by your opponent. that's why you need an outpost, built before the battle and rebuilt after if necessary. if you don't have enough scrap, you should at least have silo with few scavs, and repair/ammo for your tank.

your second stroy, with lil1... (almost) everybody can sneak and kill a rec, but that's not what bz strat is about. i bet that in your next game with lil1 you won't pass his defence, he'll be ready for you.
killing rec with solo tank is a newbie thing, and yea, bz2 thing. in bz1, losing a rec is not the end. i think i finished 1/4 of my games without rec.

btw, i met katz guys last week, puma and lil1, separately. they are both promising stratters, was great fun playing with them. we played 2 team strats; 1st was puma and me vs 2 other guys on blast chamber. 2nd was lil1 and me vs sir stratking and bum on pac-man. was a really special game because i lost rec and armory in the beginning... i would tell a story, but i already told too many, it's someone else's turn.

I'm gonna tell a war story the second I have one to tell for BZ rather than something like Runescape or Battlefield 2 >.>

I'd tell a fictitious story, but that would prolly be better in a new thread..?

shame we don't do more of that discussion here... with reading stories and watching videos of pro stratters you can see how is strat supposed to be played... but discussion is what makes you better and it saves you a lot of time you would usually spent on different testings...
when i was a novice i had 1000 questions, but i was lot of online and the guy with 1000 answers was also there. today he's gone and not many are willing to spend a lot of their lobby time on a noob. that's why we have this thread here and few other guides in this category.

grinder turned his firewall off, i guess he wanted to make me laugh... he was attacking me first with dual mags on him and his tanks , then with solo bomber . as he lost 1 bomber he came with another, was hilarious. strat is not mag arena or europa bombers.

i came a bit late in the game, other players already had their bases. silly grinder thought that 10 guntowers around his rec will save him... rofl.

after grinder was gone i loaded my rocket tanks with comets and went on t-34. then the crying starts... i once respected him, i feared his strat, his deadly apc's... lately he turned into a big crybaby, but that's another story...
