I also would like to say i find it VERY cheap when i kill someone and realize i just killed them on their spawn point, so i back of or leave so they can get back on their own feet only to have them snipe me out.

In the future, you could stop shooting him, but don't turn your back, keep an eye on him. Try to see if he will run away. If he doesn't run and decides to try to snipe you, just kill the rest of his lives right there. It's really only a "moral rule" and like that it can't really be enforced. If your opponent wants to play that way, adapt and beat him to the punch.
Code:
<SIrDude> hay
<SIrDude> wanna play a 1.5 game?
<SIrDude> oh i guess your just AFKn ok what ever
Well, I went to 1.5 a few seconds after I saw that and you weren't there. I run RO in a window while AFK or doing something else, so I don't see why you can't do the same thing and be a little more patient.

Sniping is never a cheat, it is part of the game. In my eyes there is no such thing as rushing. If a player wishes to rush me and my base I learn from it and adapt my playing style. Learn who is who. You will be surprised that you can learn aliases by which maps they play, how they set up games, and even how they write. My biggest peeve is rejoining a multi player game after they get their asses handed to them.
Now my biggest challenge is to beat the heavies more than 1 out of every 10 attempts. I had T34 beat soooo badly the other day and yet he won again. Frustrating, but that is why I play.

early attacks are very common in RTS games and it's often the first minutes that are the most important once.
