So i have tried the BZ vista fix and it didnt work  , probably cause I have only a 32-bit windows vista. I will post my system specs here if anyone sees a problem with my hardware/software

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X1250 (with DX10 of course)

OS: Windows Vista Home Basic (32-bit)

Computer Type: Laptop (emachines D620)

This problem bugs me cause older games like worms (1995) or Simcity 3000 Work fine... Mabe its because Battlezone is old and 3d :?

My friend has Vista and he encountered massive problems running BZ. After mucking about with the compatibility packs, we got it running, but it lagged so bad, playing was not a possibility. We weren't able to reverse whatever it was that we did to get it running, so we don't know how we could have done it right to prevent the lag. Our theory: When is asks, "Software Acceleration or Hardware Acceleration", choose Hardware (we chose Software).

Then again, we don't know if that would work. In addition, another friend tried to install BZ on his Vista computer, and failed miserably. He gave up after less than five minutes. I find it rather funny that my crappy laptop (1.6 GHz, 0.99 GB of RAM) and my ancient desktop running Windows 2000 Professional at 600 MHz can install and run BZ nearly flawlessly while epic gaming desktops running 10 GHz+ epically fail.

Can you tell that there's something wrong here?

Indeed especially that running BZ through the Configuration Utility works perfectly fine, but if I try running BZ through the main .exe file it gives me a UE. Software mode is no help; the framerate jerks from 178, to 7.6... and its no easier on safe mode's software mode, it works but the framerate is like recording with fraps :x

Fraps is actually a good recorder compared to the other s*** they have. Go ahead. Go get Hypercam and record a session with that and tell me I'm wrong.

On point, I wouldn't actually be able to really help. I'm one of the the lucky bastards who still have XP. :D

I use ZD Soft game recorder, for me it is much better than fraps. :)

Frankly, I don't use anything because my computer is running out of hard drive space and doesn't need to fill that up with videos about crap that I probably won't ever use. :D
