Just a few weeks ago I consigned myself to the fact that, although I've kept my BZ CD and instruction book, I was never going to play it again unless
www.GOG.com or Steam added it to their library. And then I found a link to this place on a gameplay vid on Youtube this afternoon, and now I've been playing it all evening on my new 'puter. Brilliant!
I don't know how you've done it, or how the hell you got the original programmer to work on a patch (I mean, what?!). But hurrah!
One question though: it seems a little harder than it did when I was 17, have you changed the difficulty or have I just gone soft in the meantime?
