Nice modeling. Josiah wrote: I know this is a Battlezone forum, but RO is kinda battlezone, so I'll post this here: The Red Odyssey has the same basic gameplay and physics as Battlezone, so it's definitely more Battlezone than Combat Commander (AKA "Battlezone 2") is. Are you able to make ship models that work in-game? Some RO players have an odd issue with the Naga tank, which lags their game's FPS, so if you could re-create the Naga model with the same geometric appearance and size as the stock model and make it work with the game, you could fix the lag problem.

what I've been doing is trying to create the concept models for battlezone(and ro) by looking at the pictures in the sp missions, and some other concept art laying around. If you know of any concept art for Bz or RO, PLEASE let me know, as I rely completely on the picture(how I make it)...
as of yet, I don't know how to export from 3ds max to .geo... step by step instrutions would be appreciated(idiot proof is a must). I could make the concept naga, but I'd have to have some pictures of what it looked like before the ingame model was created... IF they made one...

Josiah wrote: as of yet, I don't know how to export from 3ds max to .geo... step by step instrutions would be appreciated I think there's a brief description in the VDF Viewer documentation, but not detailed instructions. I myself am not a modeler, so I can't actually help you with 3DS Max. Josiah wrote: I could make the concept naga, but I'd have to have some pictures of what it looked like before the ingame model was created... Going in game and making a screen shot would be too easy. That's close-up of the Naga (Chinese Light Tank) cut out from a 1280x1024 screen shot with the external camera view (SHIFT+F4) adjusted. Do you plan on having your models be compatible with the game, or do you just build them for fun? EDIT: I mis-interpreted your post. I thought you simply wanted to see any picture of a Naga, but now it sounds like you wanted picture of some other model... which probably doesn't exist.

in the battlezone(and ro) intro, I'm sure you've noticed that all the vehicles/buildings are totally different from the ones in the game... those are the ones I am trying to make... I can import the vdfs into 3ds max, but I can't export to geo. there IS a way I can get them ingame, but I don't think you'd like it. here's a screenie of the 'concept' yeti, found only in the sp wallpaper: that is what I am trying to recreate. if you have/know of any other concept art that has the naga in it, that would be great. EDIT: here's the latest:
